We’ve decided to start sharing regular updates as a way to properly catch up with you, let you know what we’ve been up to, and give you a behind-the-scenes look at life at Enhanced Entertainment. There are so many exciting events booked this year, and we’d love to bring you along for the journey.
For anyone new here, Enhanced Entertainment (EE) is based near Weston-super-Mare, providing professional DJ services across Weston, Bristol, Devon, and Cornwall. That said, we don’t like to limit ourselves — we’re always happy to travel anywhere in the UK. Over the years, we’ve DJ’d at events as far north as Birmingham, out west in Devon and near Newquay, and even as far as Kent, so we’re no strangers to life on the road.
A Well-Earned Breather After a Busy December
January gave us a rare chance to slow down slightly and take a breather — something that’s definitely needed after December! The festive season is always our busiest time of year, and this past December was no exception.
Personally, I completed 26 gigs myself, alongside a team that worked tirelessly throughout the month. One of the highlights every year is the Christmas party nights at the Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare. These events are huge, running every Friday and Saturday across December and requiring three DJs each night to cover all areas.
I may be biased, but the feedback we receive year after year says it all — many guests tell us the nights on the pier are simply the best. And there’s a good reason for that.
Guests can choose which room they’d like to be in depending on the level of entertainment and their budget. Each room offers a different experience. In the main hall, where I DJ, the night includes:
Photos are available online the very next day, which people absolutely love. Thousands of guests enjoyed these nights over December, and I’m incredibly proud to have been part of them for several years now.
A Special Night in Liverpool
January also gave Zuzana and me the chance to attend The Wedding Industry Awards in Liverpool — a rare and very welcome night out for us both.
After winning Best Wedding DJ in the South West with The Wedding Industry Award in November at Aldwick Estate, we automatically became national finalists. That achievement alone means so much to us and to our entire team.
The judging process is no small thing. We were assessed by professional DJs from all over the country, which is both exciting and daunting — it puts your business under real scrutiny. Part of the process involved contacting our previous wedding couples, asking them to vote for us and leave detailed feedback. They were asked a wide range of questions, and we were scored based on their responses.
On our side, we completed a detailed questionnaire about our business: how we started, what makes us different, how we work with clients, and how we continue to improve and grow. We also submitted 10 photos that represent who we are and 3 videos showcasing our services ,definitely a bit of homework involved!
There were 10 DJs in our category, and the standard was incredibly high. Huge congratulations to Sweet Vibes from Kent, who took the crown, a very well deserved.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward into the year, our focus remains exactly the same: providing the very best DJ service to every single client. Whether it’s a wedding, party, corporate event, or large-scale celebration, we put the same passion and care into every booking.
